Ecodan outdoor modules

Quieter, more efficient, smaller and sleeker: the outdoor units of the heat pumps featuring outputs of 8.0 kW and 11.2 kW (Zubadan technology) and 7.5 kW and 10.0 kW (Power Inverter technology) have been completely overhauled.

Have you heard?

Now even quieter

In the new outdoor units, a large fan replaces the two small fans that were previously used and enables the speed to be reduced while delivering the same volume flow. The position of the fan within the housing has also been adjusted to ensure optimised airflow while reducing the noise emissions. The refrigerant compressor is also fully encapsulated in the new models, with the compressor and all refrigerant pipes being acoustically decoupled from the housing.

These sophisticated optimisations ensure that the sound power level of the units is extremely low, with the new outdoor modules of the Ecodan heat pump generating a sound power level of only 58 to 60 dB(A). The noise reduction is even more apparent in the low-frequency ranges of 63 and 125 Hz. The new outdoor modules open up entirely new application options as they can now also be installed in noise-sensitive areas without a second thought.

New design

Improved efficiency

The new design of the outdoor module leads to significantly improved heat pump efficiency. In the variants featuring Zubadan technology, the key factor is the use of the new bypass heat exchanger: the structured and thus enlarged surface enables a considerable increase in heat exchanger efficiency of up to 30%. In addition, the enlarged surface of the evaporator ensures that the heat stored in the air can be transferred more easily to the refrigerant. The reduced power consumption can lead to a noticeable drop in the system operating costs.

Suitable for every outdoor situation:

New dimensions, new design.

The housing has been given a new look, in which the colour combination of white and anthracite is paired with a subtle and elegant appearance.

The build height of the outdoor modules has been reduced by 25% as a result of the overhaul. This smaller size provides big advantages, as the compact outdoor modules featuring dimensions of 1,020 mm x 1,050 mm x 450 mm can blend in harmoniously in almost any outdoor situation.

  • Lower sound power level

A range of measures has succeeded in reducing the sound power level to just 58 to 60 dB(A). The noise reduction is even more apparent in the low-frequency ranges of 63 and 125 Hz.

  • Easy connection

The units across the entire output range from 7.5 to 11.2 kW are now available in a 3-phase variant (400 V voltage) and meet the requirements of TAB 2007 for connection to the low-voltage network.

  • Subtle elegance

The colour combination of white and anthracite ensures that the housing also meets high design requirements.

  • Improved details

The newly developed shape of the base plate permits much faster condensate drainage. Increasing the efficiency and operational reliability of the system.

  • New dimensions

Thanks to a 25% reduction in size, the compact outdoor modules (1,020 mm x 1,050 mm x 450 mm) can blend harmoniously into virtually any outdoor situation.

  • Improved efficiency

The complete overhaul of the outdoor units has yielded a 30% increase in heat exchanger efficiency.
